This talk explores the various ways in which bilingualism and language mixing are represented in the lyrical production of Texas musicians from the 20th and 21st centuries. The artists discussed belong to the so-called Texas Triangle (Corpus Christi – San Antonio – Houston), where historical and socio-economic conditions gave rise to cultural and linguistic hybridization.
